MCG data for the 23rd Licensing Round Awards
30 May 2016The 18th of May 2016 the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Tord Lien, announced the awards in the 23rd Licensing Round. 10 licenses were awarded to 13 different oil companies. The licenses were awarded in the the Hoop Area, the Loppa High East, The Nordkapp Basin East and in the Barents Sea South East. MCG is pleased to announce that we have data available for all the awarded licenses.
MCG1401 Super High Resolution Hoop
MCG’s Super High Resolution Hoop data provides both high resolution and offsets. This dataset can be used for detailed mapping of the sequence stratigraphy to understand the depositional models and reservoir distribution in, and around, the awarded licenses in the Hoop area. The data also gives you the possibilities for pre-stack analysis (AVO).
MCG Barents Well Tie
The Barents Well Tie dataset ties more than 80 exploration wells in the Barents Sea. With the Barents Well Tie data you can tie the awarded licenses to nearby wells in both the Norwegian Barents Sea and in the Russian Barents Sea (Russian Reprocessed Data).
