MC2D PSTM reprocessing in the Roebuck Basin, Australian 2010 Acreage Release blocks

12 May 2010

The 2D seismic data is being reprocessed in CGGVeritas' processing centre in Kuala Lumpur. It is a full reprocessing project from the field tapes and the deliverables are high quality True Amplitude PSTM processed stack, with AVO products as angle stacks and PSTM gathers. The attached Announcement shows some encouraging, preliminary results for the full stack sections, which again yields for exciting AVO products.

Within the announced blocks there are several 4-way closures which has not been tested by the wells drilled in the area. These traps are expected to contain stacked reservoir targets at Permien, Triassic and Jurassic levels, with the Early-Middle Triassic Locker Shale as the most prominent source rock.

The MC2D PSTM reprocessed seismic data, with associated AVO products, will provide the oil companies the appropiate dataset for a thorough prospectivity assessment, and to address key risks/uncertainties with the application of advanced technologies in the Rowley Sub.Basin 2010 realease areas W10-4, W10-5 and W10-6.
