MCG to market and sell Aker Exploration's EM scanning surveys in Norway

12 July 2009

The EM surveys cover a total of 3,000 sqkm in both announced APA2009 blocks and in blocks expected to be included in the 21st Concession Round in Norway. They cover different type of plays and sits in a different basins and can be licensed separately. The surveys are acquired by a 3 x 3 km receiver grid or denser.

Although this is still an emerging technology we believe it provides the explorers with an additional geophysical tool to fully evaluate the undrilled prospects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. And again, it proves MCG's technical ability and knowledge to promote emerging new geophysical technologies to the oil companies.
